My name is Susan Butler. I began making jewelry full time twenty years ago. Over the years, I have worked in costume jewelry, rhinestones, base metals, silversmithing, fused glass, and lampworked glass.
My designs have been sold throughout the United States and around the world. My real interest is to make one of a kind art - to - wear pieces.
In the five years that I have been focusing on glass, I’ve learned to make artglass pieces that are unique, colorful, easy-to-use, and very comfortable. I specialize in lampwork beads that are unusual in shape. Most recently, one of my pieces was featured on the cover of The Bead Release a quarterly publication of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers in the Winter of 2007.
I have been Invited by the Kittrell/Riffkind gallery to participate in this years' Lone Star Glass Invitational in Dallas, Texas where my beadwork will be on display with artists from all over the state of Texas from April 28th through May 19th.
